This 6-Week Beginners Series Yoga teaches the benefits of breath along with basic postures. You will discover how your breath can ease not only your mind, but increase your stamina and sense of happiness and well-being.

 

Together we will find out how the poses can work for you personally. We will work on combining Pranayama (breath control), Asana (poses), meditation and some background into the history and science of yoga.

 

After taking this 6-week series you will be able to practice in most of the other classes we offer now and additional ones in the near future. At Tula we believe every “body” is perfect for yoga.

 

Allow 1 hour & 15-30 minutes.

Yoga

Flow

This is an energizing and flowing yoga practice accessible to all levels. There is a focus on gentle lunging, twisting and opening of the hips and heart center. Breathing is paired with yogic movements known as poses (asanas), building strength, agility and focus. This class is ideal for the beginning yoga student or the regular yogi looking for a medium paced practice.

 

Students are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats.

 

Allow for 1 hour and 15 minutes. 

Gentle

Flow

Our Gentle Flow class is designed to connect breath, alignment, and mindfulness with basic yoga postures. These classes focus on stretching and attention to breath during a relaxing flow. Especially good for anyone who wants a slower paced, less strenuous class.

Ashtanga

(Power Yoga)

Some of you may have been practicing yoga and familiar with most if not all poses used in this series. This practice is a strong physical practice, focusing on synchronizing breath and movement through poses (āsanas) that purify the body and restore health.

 

The poses are arranged in a sequential order, each posture builds on the previous one, strengthening and returning the body to a state of balance.

 

Allow 1 hour, 10 minutes

Chair

Yoga

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair or using a chair for support.  This practice deepens flexibility, balance, strength and body awareness, while aiding to achieve overall physical and mental health and well-being.  Looking for a desk job (or study break) tension reliever, or do you suffer from limited mobility, disability or injury?  Chair yoga is for everyone of all ages and ability levels.  Dress comfortably in clothes that allow movement.  Chairs are provided, no need to bring a mat.

Goa-Tula

Goat Yoga

Join us for Goa-Tula Goat Yoga at the Renville County Fair! Tula will lead you through a full Gentle Flow Yoga class with the fun, yet relaxing atmosphere surrounded by our local 4-H goats! 

Open to ages 8 + / Cost is $12.00 

All proceeds are donated to Renville County 4-H

*This event, is a closed event and is not open to spectators. Please wear a shirt with sleeves (long or short) as the goat's little feet can scrape your skin. 

Please no cell phones during the Yoga practice. There will be plenty of time to take pictures afterwards with our cute friends!
